Soooo I joked that I should be the change and make my Brencer (Brendon/Spencer, Panic! at the Disco, if you were at all confused) manifesto like the old-school LiveJournal ship manifestos and put it on my Neocities... so here I am lol
The Overture
The Overture (2011) is a short film made by Panic! at the Disco to promo their then-upcoming album Vices & Virtues, the first after the band's split (Brendon got Spencer in the divorce. At this point, Brendon and Spencer were the only official members of the band). AND IT'S INSANE. The whole thing is... kind of a weird symbolic metaphor for how they have to drop the baggage and leave Ryan and Jon behind, complete with an evil ballerina (Ryan?? maybe???) who tries to drag Brendon away only for Spencer to heroically rescue him and tell him that she has to save herself and Brendon can't save her. At the end everyone else abandons them, but they affirm their WE ARE SUPER BESTIES TOGETHER FOREVER JUST THE TWO OF US WE LOVE EACH OTHER AND NO ONE ELSE message by emotionally declaring –
"I guess it's just us, then."
"It always has been."

Spencer was there in the dream that inspired New Perspective. A song which is very clearly about blowjobs. Shrug emoji. "We spend enough time together, even in his dreams". Spencer saying he's probably had a dream about Brendon before (a fairly innocuous and vague statement) and Brendon immediately being like "Noooo, don't tell them about that!!" then Spencer pivots to "No, I never have". Written about Spencer, his struggle with addiction, and how Brendon felt like he was falling apart because he was losing him. Also there's a heartbeat sound at the start which turms into the DRUMS/the drums kick in right at the line 'this is the beat of my heart, this is the beat of my heart' and then at the end the drums turn BACK into the heartbeat and it FLATLINES. I'm normal about this.
Brendon always (heh) dedicates this song to Spencer and has said many sweet and heartbreaking things in the process. I have so many media/evidence links for This Is Gospel because it's the Brencer song OF ALL TIME.
